Resume review in Canberra
AI can fix your spelling. It can't sell your story.
I help you write your resume and job application in your own words, so you can back it up at interview. For your first real job or grad role, in Canberra or online anywhere in Australia.
Booking for your son or daughter? You can pay, they do the call.
The Story Check
Send me your resume (no resume yet? just send your dot points) and the job ad. Then we talk for an hour about what you've actually done. You talk. I take the notes. Casual shifts, uni projects, volunteering: it all counts.
You walk away with:
- Your strongest example, written in your own words before the call ends
- One section of your resume rewritten with you
- Your top 3 fixes in writing within 3 working days, which you can use on every application after this one
A$300
Evening and weekend calls are available.
Paid when you book. No resume yet? That's fine, your dot points are enough.
How it works
1. Send me your resume and the job ad
No resume yet? Just send your dot points.
2. We talk
You tell me what you've done. I ask the questions AI can't.
3. You get your fixes
Your top 3 fixes in writing within 3 working days.
I've sat on hiring panels, so I know what the person reading your application is looking for.
Changing careers or coming back to work after a break? Your old job and your years at home count too.
How I use AI: AI is great for grammar, spelling and checking. I use it for that. Your story comes from you. How I use AI.
I can't promise you an interview. I can promise every line will be yours.
Other resume writing options and prices
If you'd rather I did more of the writing, or you want help with one piece, these are the other ways I work.
Feedback on your own writing — $100
You would rather write it yourself, and get better at it along the way. You draft, I show you what to change and why, and it stays in your own words.
- Detailed written feedback on your resume, a pitch or a cover letter
- The reason behind each suggestion, so you can use it next time
- A second round of feedback on your revised draft
Resume polish — $180
You already have a resume and it needs tightening up.
- A full review of your existing resume
- Rewritten wording, structure and layout
- Two rounds of edits
LinkedIn profile rewrite — $250
Your profile is the first thing a recruiter reads, and most people write it once and never look at it again.
- A rewritten headline and About section
- Rewritten role descriptions
- One round of edits
Pitch or cover letter — $350
You are happy with your resume. What you need is the written pitch, and that is the part most people get stuck on.
- A one-page pitch or cover letter for one role
- Built on real examples from your own work, drawn out in a conversation
- Lined up against what the job is asking for
- Two rounds of edits
The whole application — $650
Everything for one role, written with you, in your own words.
- A full resume rewrite
- A pitch or cover letter
- A 30-minute interview preparation call
- Two rounds of edits across the written work
How long it takes
| Option | First draft |
|---|---|
| Feedback on your own writing | 3 business days |
| Resume polish | 5 business days |
| LinkedIn profile rewrite | 5 business days |
| Pitch or cover letter | 5 business days |
| The whole application | Up to 10 business days |
Each round of edits takes 3 business days once I have your feedback.
Applying for a specific role? I need at least 7 business days before the closing date, or 10 for the whole application.
In a hurry? A turnaround of 3 business days is sometimes possible. It costs an extra $100 on the LinkedIn profile, polish or pitch, or $200 on the whole application. Ask and I will tell you honestly whether I can do it.
How you pay: paid in full upfront, unless we have agreed a payment plan. Work starts once the invoice is paid. If paying all at once is hard right now, message me and we can talk about a payment plan.
Not included: career coaching, applying for roles on your behalf, or any guarantee of an interview or a job.
Questions
- Is it cheating to get help?
- No. The examples are yours. I draw them out of you in a conversation, then help you line them up with what the job is asking for. I won't invent achievements or write something that sounds like a person you're not. It wouldn't survive an interview.
- Can I pay for my son or daughter?
- Yes. You can pay, they do the call.
- What if I don't have a resume yet?
- That's fine. Send me your dot points: casual shifts, uni projects, volunteering. It all counts.
- Will you just run my resume through AI?
- No. I use AI for grammar, spelling and checking. Your story comes from you. How I use AI.
